Home Sweet Home

The four of us are now home after leaving a week and a half ago for Hurricane Ike. We are so fortunate that we had NO damage to our house, just some sad, beat up plants in the yard. And a fence that is leaning. I don't think I completely understood what Home Sweet Home really meant until today. It is just four walls, but it is my small space on Earth and I am so thankful for it. Thanksgiving spent here will have a new meaning this year. My heart goes out to those who have lost so much and I know I will now understand better the devastation these storms can leave. I am so thankful to know a God who loves us and is bigger than anything we face here on Earth. How sweet it will be to be in our final home way day!

Final Installment of Traffic Signal Videos

Okay, I just had to post this last video from Michael's traffic signal demo. This is actually the middle section of the video and it shows a classic brother-sister interaction! This is also a classic McFarlin home video because Michael has to ask about the buttons on the camera. Pretty much every video of Michael has at least one part where he poses the question, "Can I push the button?" More often than not, you will here Brian telling him "no."

I just wanted to post another video of my goofy 3 year old. Sissy plays a supporting role in the background! She started pulling up this past week and is also crawling on her hands and knees more and more. She is a very adventurous and determined young lady! Michael has been keeping busy with his new "coffee and tea set" from IKEA. I know it sounds girly but he is very cute playing with it. He makes mommy coffee with caffeine and daddy gets a chai tea!

Okay, after much confusion in trying to upload this video, I think this may work. I set up this blog in order to share video of Leah and Michael. I, of course, probably find this video way funnier than most people would, but hopefully you guys will enjoy it too! Let me know what you think!
